Here are a few examples:
- Stand Up for Dean: This was a night of solidarity and volunteerism connecting 125 independent Dean groups in 24 states to a nation-wide conference call with Governor Dean on the night of the New Hampshire primary. In a move to embolden the support base and prove to the mass media that Howard Dean's support was holding strong after the Iowa loss, Stand Up for Dean achieved media coverage in scores of markets, delivering the message that the Dean troops would fight through February 3rd and beyond.
- Burn4Dean: A group of 140 Dean supporters nationwide with DVD-burning capabilities came together to make Burn4Dean happen. Through this group's collective efforts we duplicated and shipped more than 500 DVD's containing The Real Howard Dean, a 15 minute targeted video, for distribution by grassroots canvassers to undecided Wisconsin voters.
- The Real Howard Dean: This 15-minute video was produced to directly address the critical issue of electability, highlighting Gov. Dean's charm as a doctor and father and the positive focus of his campaign. On the strength of the project concept and video content, literally overnight, a total of $4,000 was committed (averaging $80/individual) to duplicate 3,500 VHS tapes for distribution by grassroots canvassers in Milwaukee and Madison. This TV-12 news report of the distribution effort was a direct result of our PR team's efforts.
- Partnership Project for Unity Statement: Grassroots for America is a proud co-signatory of this effort to develop a set of common values around which Dean-inspired organizations can rally and advance the principles of the Howard Dean campaign. We are proud to have been invited to manage the national, regional and local media relations effort around this project.
