• The primary purpose of alonovo is to reform corporate behavior. Grassroots for America is both increadibly excited about this new venture and proud to be an early supporter.
  
  alonovo is a grassroots effort, working with a consortium of Humanitarian, Environmental, Interfaith, Progressive and Union Organizations and unified by an innovative, sustainable and mutually beneficial business model, that seeks to engage millions of concerned citizens toward informed, socially-responsible purchases.
  
  Fully realized, alonovo will have a broad reach, beyond Wal-Mart or other entities that enjoy profit without regard, by redirecting consumer spending toward business entities that embrace environmental responsibility, sustainability, use of alternative/clean energy, worker rights' and interaction with the local community as a socially-responsible business. By aggregating the purchasing power of the progressive community, alonovo will place significant pressure on corporate entites to embrace meaningful reform.

• Previously featured in Taking Root, our semi-monthly newsletter, Family-to-Family is a not-for-profit hunger relief program for profoundly poor and hungry families in the US. The community-based program connects families who have more with families who have less. Each month the "sponsoring" family prepares a box of food for shipment to their own "adopted" family and "the community" of sponsors sends clothing, books, medicines etc. to the adopted community's food pantry for general distribution.
  
  Featured in the American Heroes segment of the CBS Early Show and profiled on Good Morning America, Family-to-Family has lined up both Federal Express and The Food Emporium as corporate sponsors.
